Tightrope of Divine Life

•*¨*•¸¸¸.•*¨*•☆ •*¨*•¸¸¸.•*¨*•

There is a man,
Who walks the tightrope of Divine Life,
A man with knowledge of the gift of light.
On the tightrope,
It is the ego’s shallow need
That denies the spirit a chance to breathe.
Using a voice to speak of light,
The ego weaves an illusion of belief.
So hidden in plain sight
Is a man who writes and writes,
Speaking of life with in the light.
So beautifully he leads,
The most trusting Souls.
Enamored,
I give him my heart of gold.
What a wondrous man
He must be,
With a Spirit
Of Divine Purity.
The goal of human life
to live with in the light
A place of joy and love
A human’s eternal right.
So leave the path
And the shallow hold.
Surrender the ego
To honor your Soul. ;)

Spiritual Web

There is a spiritual web woven tight

That guides a soul to the light.

A light… A light…ignites the dark night.

A soul in search of the Divine,

Finds the signs in life’s rhythms and rhyme’s.

They appear where you are,

A connection…a word…a flower…or a twinkling star.

It might be the rose that blooms in the January winds,

A message from God that your long night ends.

A light…A light…ignites the sky.

With a fiery passion that engulfs the human sigh.

Yesterday I posted two poems from March 2012. They represent my love affair with God that has moved me from difficulties in my life, to a place of new beginnings as I re-create my life within the light of God. Today I share a new poem that represents my moving forward in Spirits world of light and knowing that all good is mine to claim as I move forward and release the past within the human sigh engulfed by the passion of God.

In the spiritual world there are many signs to help us move forward. This morning when I checked my blog stats I saw 4,444 views. So I made a mental note to figure out the meaning of this number. Then I went to facebook to see what friends and family are posting. A friend posted a blog on Angels. While we have not spoken in years her post was there for me. It talked about seeing fours as a sign that you are surrounded by many Angels. What a wonderful sign to have on a day of closing the past and opening the future. Over the past few weeks I felt the uncertainty of the future, today I feel great inner peace and calm that all is good. We are all embraced within the spiritual web and God is always communicating to us. It is up to us to see and hear the Divine message.

So I dedicate today’s poem to my life within the light…to keeping an open heart, open mind, eyes fixed on the light, ears open to the words of the Lord and heart overflowing with gratitude for the blessings of my life.   And each of you who rest your eyes within this blog are all a part of the spiritual web…each with a great destiny…each with an abundance of love and prosperity here for you with your eyes fixed on the light.  Release your past within your sigh and allow the passion of God to embrace you.  Namaste, mary

I would like to share today 2 poems that I wrote last year and posted in March.  They are a duet or I call them a “poetic couplet.”  They are meant to be read together as they express my love for Spirit.

Still Pond

It is in the whisper of the willow that I hear your words;
And in the reflection of the water that I see your face.
The ripples that dance across still pond
Reveal our Divine bond.
As I gaze into the sky I see you winking back at me.
You who has painted sun and clouds so perfectly,
Bathed in warmth of a luminous light,
From within I know all things are aright. .
It is at this moment that I am one with Thee.
It is my knowing that all you do is for the love of me.
Today I kneel in my garden that blooms.
With outstretch arms I embrace my Heavenly Groom.
It is with my words that you so graciously gave,
I now speak this poem in loving praise.

Dance In The Night

Sitting in Darkness I feel you running through my hair,

Like fingers twirling with an intimate loving care.

I look into your eyes as I watch the sparkling of the stars.

And feel your essence consume me.

As I listen to your words in rhythm of the chimes,

I settle into the silence feeling our love entwined.

The crickets are humming a love song so sweet.

I slowly rise to my feet.

You take my hand as we dance to their song.

Swaying and moving me along.

You bring me deep into your essence of life,

It is there I meld in a blissful delight.

It is a dance we have performed so often before,

And in this moment Lord our divine love is eternally adorn.

The March Winds blow as the winter fades,

The Sun peaks out among the clouds

floating in a perfect array.

The worn ground cover pops

with specs of green among the grey.

The barren trees start to bud,

giving me a glimpse

of the creativeness of God above.

In my tiny part of the Lords universe,

I sit in knowing the Lord is there.

The first crocus pop their head,

as if they were saying “Lord I’m out of bed.”

The daffodils are poking through the cool ground

with their stems reaching high for the Lord to see.

I saw a bug flying by who said,

“Lord don’t forget about me!”

Sitting in prayer with the Spirit in my heart,

I know this gift is the Lord’s calling card.

It is a thank you note to me,

that I have chosen to live within Thee.

It is in this moment I say to God Almighty,

“Thank you for this day…Thank you for loving me.”

Nothing is Lost!

****

Nothing is lost!

Lord you create with perfection,
And that perfection is me!
And within this moment the thing I lost
You easily see.
So with your Divine knowledge
I release myself from my human sight.
To see though your Divinity,
What is here in front of me.
Oh Lord, I am most grateful,
For your vision today.
I am most grateful
You lead me on my way.

I started saying this prayer/poem over a year ago in some form or another. Once again today it helped me find what I miss placed. I also use it when I feel a block from my human life filter. Sometimes we need help to know the truth in experiences/situations. So please feel free to use this to help you see what the divine puts in front of you. I love to hear if it helps you find what is miss placed or your vision/thoughts of an experience change.

I am proud to say today is my 1 year anniversary with this blog.  Thank you everyone who reads my words and who has encouraged me in my spiritual journey.  The words you share on your blogs have been inspiring and have helped me grow spiritually and emotionally.   I am most grateful for our friendship.

Soft pastels floating by
Settle gently on the horizon line.
Water rolls across the shore
Soothing the grainy floor.
Sun light reflects off the sand
Expanding the tapestry across the land.
Open your mind to the light,
And feel the energy grow.
With your heart opened wide
Let the love inside.
Stand tall with your spirit in tow,
And listen to the Angels sing.
“Within the light your
Spirit Shines
The love of Eternity.”

Dawning Day

Under the dawning day

The tree reaches its limbs to the igniting sky.

Darkness of night quietly fades,

Into the colors of the breaking haze.

The morning mist the Lord’s gentle kiss

Lands softly upon the world’s lips.

In a single form

A tree exist,

In a cluster the woods grow

into a community the life energy flows.

The roots of the tree are embedded deep

Into the core of the heart of the earth.

The roots are nourished

From the mineral floor.

Within the tree a world of life exist

A world of unity and community,

Perfectly thought out by the Lord.

Every life form loved and adored.

Every life form a gift for all to see.

Every plant and tree,

Every insect and animal,

Every drop of water,

A perfect spiritual divinity.

Listen as the snow falls,

Watch as it glistens in the rising sun,

Feel the softness of this early Christmas morn.

This is the Lord’s creation and reminder of the season’s glow.

For today like so many years ago,

We celebrate the birth of a babe being born.

On that first Christmas morn,

He lay wrapped in swaddling clothes,

And slept in a crib of hay.

The gifts this child brings are greater than any he received.

For Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh,

Are treasures from the Earth.

The Christ Child a gift of Love,

Peace and Eternal life of the Lord Above.

I wrote this poem between 1974 and 76.  I still remember sitting on my bed watching the early snow fall on a Christmas Morning.  Over the years it is interesting to see how my thoughts and spirituality has defined the Christ Child within my heart and mind.  As a young nurse caring for children with cancer and AIDS I know Christ to deliver these children into the light.  I heard many children tell me and their families “Jesus is here for me”.  Sometimes children saw him as a child others as an adult and occasion baby Jesus came to take them home.  So for years, I knew Jesus as the Shepard of Children.

Now so many years later I have looked at my understanding of Christ.  Yes a Child of God….just as I.  A human… that roamed this earth…just as I.   A man who transcended the human level of consciousness and paved the way for you and I to join him in the Christ Consciousness.   A teacher….A healer…a miracle maker…A divine Creation of God…with the Essence of God flowing through him.

Blue Aurora

Blue Aurora - Grundarfjörður, Iceland – Peerakit Jirachetthakun

featured on photobotos.com 12/8/2012

*****

A burst of color in the sky,

The Aurora a Diva of the Divine,

A Roman Goddess of the Dawn

Ignites the sky in a majestic cry.

To announce the sun and the coming day

The beauty of the Aurora paves the way.

Whether blue or green,

She sings her praise,

For the coming new day.

With a heart full of love

The world is lite from above.

The beauty of the night sky

Is a reminder of the Divine.

The Spirit of the Universe

Is where all good is birthed.

Breathe in the essence of the dawning day

And allow your Spirit to guide you on your way.

For no ill or harm can come from the

Breathe of the Spiritual life force.

A breath immersed within the winds or gentlest of breeze

A breath that ignites the Spirit

To glow within the human breed.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.” – Isaiah 55:8

I am not here to tell you God’s will.

The temptation to do so is powerful, in light of the news out of a hospital in the United Kingdom: Malala has received a miracle.

You remember Malala Yousafzai, of course. She is the Pakistani girl from the conservative Swat Valley region of that country who came to international attention as a blogger and activist for the right of girls and women to be educated. This basic human freedom is a matter of great controversy among Islamic extremists, particularly the Taliban, which used to stage house-to-house raids in Malala’s town, searching for girls in possession of books.

Last month, Taliban goons with guns attacked a van carrying Malala and her classmates home from school. Two other girls were hit, through their wounds were not life threatening. Malala’s were. The bullets took her in the neck and the head.

A little over a month later, we learn from CNN that Malala is walking, reading, writing, smiling and is believed to have suffered no significant neurological damage in the attack.

Against all odds, all reason, all sensible expectation for a teenage girl shot in the head and neck, it looks like she is going to be fine.     But I’m not here to tell you God’s will.Granted, Malala’s miracle seems to deserve that – to cry out for it, in fact. But putative people of faith are often too glib, facile and mean in claiming to have divined the divine. Just as often, their interpretations say less about God than about them, the things they hate and fear, the narrowness of their vision, the niggardliness of their souls.

The Rev. John Hagee, for example, said it was the will of God to drown New Orleans in Hurricane Katrina as punishment for the city’s willingness to countenance a gay festival. He did not explain why the Good Lord swamped the rest of the city but left the sin-soaked French Quarter, site of the aforesaid festival, relatively unscathed.

Republican senatorial candidate Richard Mourdock, on the other hand, said it was God’s will if a woman is raped and then finds herself pregnant with the rapist’s child. He did not explain why God would choose to inflict such physical and emotional violence upon a presumably unoffending woman.

And then, there is the Taliban itself, which said it was God’s will, required by the Quran, for this teenage girl to die. If she survived, said a spokesman after the assault, they would try again to kill her.

Since then, a number of things have happened. Malala’s school has been renamed in her honor. The United Nations instituted a worldwide day, also in her honor, and has launched a campaign for girls’ education. It is called “I Am Malala.” Pakistanis, perhaps previously cowed by the terrorist bullying of religious fanatics, have risen in mass protest, finding courage in numbers. Malala has been asking for her school books so that she can study. On a message board of CNN.com, a reader suggests she ought to get the Nobel Peace Prize, and the idea does not seem at all far-fetched.

Oh, yes, and there is a million dollar bounty on the head of the Taliban spokesman.     Take it all as a stark reminder that too often, people who speak glibly of the will of God really describe no will higher than their own. They presume to interpret God like tarot cards or the stock market, forgetting that God is sovereign and does not need their help. He is a big God. He can speak for Himself. So I will yield not to temptation. Unlike the Taliban, I will not presume to tell you what God’s will was. But in light of Malala’s miracle, it seems pretty clear what God’s will was not.
