This Glorious Day

Oh, Lord I feel your embrace,

I feel your love and the kiss on my face.

When I sit in silence and pray to you,

I feel the infinite unity and love of Thee.

There is no greater joy to me…

 Than the Lord’s eternity.

It is a gift,

I have travel long and far to receive

On this spiritual journey that has enlightened me.

It is the Truth,

that the life struggles never need be.

For the Lord’s gift was always within me.

So now, with my heart open and my eyes fixed on you

I know there is divinity with in me too.

It is with heart felt gratitude I say,

‘Oh Lord, Thank you for this glorious day!”

God’s Calling Card

The March Winds blow as the winter fades,

The Sun peaks out among the clouds

floating in a perfect array.

The worn ground cover pops

with specs of green among the grey.

The barren trees start to bud,

giving me a glimpse

of the creativeness of God above.

In my tiny part of the Lords universe,

I sit in knowing the Lord is there.

The first crocus pop their head,

as if they were saying “Lord I’m out of bed.”

The daffodils are poking through the cool ground

with their stems reaching high for the Lord to see.

I saw a bug flying by who said,

“Lord don’t forget about me!”

Sitting in prayer with the Spirit in my heart,

I know this gift is the Lord’s calling card.

It is a thank you note to me,

that I have chosen to live within Thee.

It is in this moment I say to God Almighty,

 “Thank you for this day…Thank you for loving me.”

The Essence of God

The Essence of God

Is…

Is the very substance that makes this day…

The infinity of God…

Creates the expansiveness of the universe…

The power of God’s creativity…

Is the world I see…

The love of God is in every living thing…

The cycle of our universe is the breath of the Lord…

On inspiration the Almighty takes in the beauty and love of all adorn…

The One Spirit embraces the homage I pay…

My prayers of thanks…the joy…happiness and completeness of my day…

The breaking day is within this breath…

The winds that whisper are from all the good taken in…

The sun that shines with love received…

The rivers and oceans flow so deep…

Deep within the Source…

The One Source…The One Energy… that Creator of all…

Within this breath the birds sing…the fish swim…the flowers bloom

The divinity of the light of God is mine to see…

With the release of breath comes the falling night…

The time for silence within the Source…

The rest within my soul…

I rest within the presence of God…

As I release the old…

I am starting this blog to share my spiritual reflections, poems and thoughts about God and my relationship with God.  The Almighty God has always been an important part of my life.   Now, I must admit, I have not always treasure the relationship as I do now.  At some point in my adulthood I lost sight of God and in time I lost sight of myself…
